You need to feel confident, informed, and empowered in your decisions.

I’m here to help you every step of the way, guiding you through this exciting journey while keeping your child’s well-being at the heart of everything you do.
“Oh my gosh,” I gasped as I saw Sophie literally raise the roof, and push her hands against one side of my womb only to give a quick kick and raise her hands again.
“Are you seeing this?” I asked my husband as I watched her energy literally bounce right into the room. I felt a surge of pride as I witnessed my daughter bouncing around. She’s spicy, I thought. I like that.
And, she is.
At library time, I watch her explore everything, often leaving me behind in the dust, glancing over with quick check-ins before she leaps into her latest activity.
And, this girl needs to run. She runs as if it is the air she breathes.
We call her 0-60. There is no in between.
I hear other kids cry and it sounds melodious next to Soph’s ear splitting, ear shattering vocal crescendo of upset.
It’s not so bad…my nerves often feel like they’re on fire…But, it’s one of the millions of things that make up Soph and I’m a Soph fan.
In fact, in two short years, Sophie has actually visually modeled to me, explicitly and in complete detail what type and brand actually mean.
When I first moved to L.A. in 2012 and dived head first into my career as an actress, these two questions (often linked together)... “What is your type?” What is your brand?”…felt like my kryptonite.
I hated hearing them with a passion.
These words summed up this entire business that I didn’t understand. They felt icky, fake, untrue and unfair.
You see, I had just gotten my MFA in Acting and after many years of training, theatre performances and spaces that smelled just like home, it felt like it was odd to sum up your abilities into two words - brand and type.
Little did I know, this question would propel me towards a quest for knowledge.
I needed to understand how the Film & TV Industry worked and how to connect it to my own values as an actor and person.
In other words… How to make it palatable for this artistic soul.
My kryptonite shifted me towards something very different than I expected and I became an acting coach, teacher, and educator.
And, now, most recently and most importantly, I’m a Mama. And, it’s changed everything for me.
I love teaching acting because it’s all about expression of self. I love teaching kids because they’re so themselves.I love coaching parents because you’re big fans of your kids. And, I get that.
I get the Industry and I get your love of your talented kid.
My goal is to guide you on how to share your kid’s unique spark in the Film & TV Industry, proudly, loudly, safely and connected right back to your values as a family.
They’re so awesome… these kids!
I give parents of talented kid actors the “how-to” guide to navigate the Film & TV Industry. Hollywood is notorious for being elusive, slick and shiny and the truth is…parts of it are! But, L.A. is also filled with grounded and creative industry professionals whose passion it is to make stories come alive on screen.
And, your kid? Well, they’re talented, smart, cool, sensitive, have a big heart and a big dream… to act. But, where do you start as their parent? The answer is as varied and unique as your talented child actor.
The Hollywood Parent Playbook teaches you how to navigate the Hollywood Film & TV Industry with step-by-step action, boundaries and an expectation that you are your child’s fiercest advocate.
So, who am I and what do I know about kid acting?
I moved to L.A. after getting my MFA in acting and immediately started to teach and coach young actors. I’ve been on the faculty at the USC School of Drama, Santa Barbara City College and the head Drama teacher at Berkeley Hall Elementary School in L.A. I have a coaching business for brand new actors moving to L.A. and a podcast that helps guide them…Speak L.A. the Podcast. I’ve taught and coached at every grade level and organized a huge event (Film & TV Kids) in Austin to introduce parents of talented kids to Industry experts.
And, now I’m a mom to a toddler… so I get how much you love your talented kid.
